The department functions with efficient faculty and prolonged laboratory facilities for various labs including electrical machines, Control system, Measurement and instrumentation etc.. The teaching and research activities are supported by a team of Director, Professor, Assistant Professors and Lecturers who provide high standards of teaching and learning and who are well qualified and experienced with profound knowledge in their fields of study.
Electrical engineers generally design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture of electrical equipment. Some of the equipments include electric motors; machinery controls, lighting, and wiring in buildings; radar and navigation systems; power generation, controlling and transmission devices used by electric utilities. Electrical engineering focuses on the generation and supply of Electric power, whereas electronics engineering is the application of electricity to control systems or signal processing. Electrical & Electrical engineers specialize in areas such as power systems engineering or electrical equipment manufacturing, signal processing and control systems.

- PSO1: Apply knowledge of Electrical Drives and Control systems to identify & resolve the problems in Industries.
- PSO2: Apply the concepts of Power Systems Engineering and Power Electronics to maintain the quality of electrical power delivered to Industrial and domestic consumers.
Programme Outcomes are narrower statements that describe what students are expected to know and be able to do upon the graduation. They are formed in line with the graduate attributes of NBA. They are related to the skills, knowledge, attitudes, values and behavior outcomes that students acquire through the programme.
- PO1 Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- PO2 Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
- PO3 Design/Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
- PO4 Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
- PO5 Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
- PO6 The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

Electrical and Electronics Engineers are mainly employed in industries using Electrical Power, Manufacturing Electrical Equipment, Electronic Systems, Accessories, Research and Development departments which work on energy saving devices and Software Development.

Electrical and Electronics Engineers are responsible for the continued safe and responsible development of this technology in all its many applications, through research, design and development, manufacture, service, marketing and consulting. Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a dynamic and exciting discipline which will continue to serve the needs of society through the economic and responsible exploitation of existing technology and the development of innovative ideas.
